Experience Behind the Craft
Harris Fine Carpentry was established in 2013 with a focus on quality workmanship and thoughtful execution.
I'm Ben Harris, a finish carpenter based in Hamilton, Montana. My work is centered on the details that define a finished space: the way trim meets a window, how cabinetry integrates with surrounding millwork, how profiles carry through a room, and how new work relates to the architecture already in place.
My approach is shaped by hands-on experience, technical training, and a respect for the craftsmanship behind a well-built home. I'm comfortable working from architectural plans and established specifications, as well as working through the practical details that plans don't always resolve.
Some projects call for precise installation of a clearly defined design. Others require closer examination, creative problem-solving, and the development of details that bring the original intent to life. I value both, and I believe the quality of the finished work depends on understanding the difference.
